This Sunday is the most dramatic and eventful day for me. First, I needed to help the buyer's agent to show the condo units I am listing. When I left my house, the sky was cloudy and minutes later, the rain started pouring down. It's been such long time since the last rainy day which I don't even remember when. The buyer agent and her clients obviously did not expect such heavy down pour when they arrive at Timberlake Condos. Fortunately I have two umbrellas in my car trunk, but they are very small. They got all wet. The rain had no sign of slowing down when we finished looking at the condos. And it was getting worse, there was even hail. We had to wait inside the carport. The rain and hail pounded on the roof of the carport and made such loud noise we could barely hear each other. It was about 2pm and I was kinda worry because I had a wedding to attend at 6pm in San Francisco. Finally after waiting about 10min, the rain slowed down and the hail stopped. So I got on the car to get back home first before heading to SF. To my surprise, streets were flooded everywhere and I thought it would be better when I got on the freeway. I was shocked when I merged into I50 west, every lane was jammed pack and the traffic was moving in a snail pace. When I was passing one of the freeway entrance, I saw the strangest scene I never saw before, cars one by one were driving backward back to the local street. It seemed the traffic won't improve anytime soon so I took the 65th St exit and took the local route home and it turned out to be a wise move.
After refueling and getting change I was ready to go to SF and it was almost 4pm. Fortunately, the rain stopped and the traffic was pretty smooth after getting on I80 west. I was on time when I arrived at my friend's wedding. It was a memorable and fun-filled wedding. It was almost 10:30pm when the wedding diner party was over and it was just a little shy of 12am when I get back home in Elk Grove. Well, it's still not passing my bedtime yet which is normally at about 1:30am. I am looking forward to Monday which will be a busy day for me... being a realtor is the most demanding and busy "job" I ever had. There are so many things going on at the same time and so many things need to learn... but this is another story.
