The Best Chinese Restaurant In Sacramento

After closing for about two weeks for remodeling, New Hong Kong Wok re-opened for business on Friday. When I heard the news I invited two best friends to have a nice dinner there. They are also loyal customers of the restaurant. They complained about how bad the other competing restaurants' food tasted. They are relief that New Hong Kong Wok is re-opened again.

While New Hong Kong Wok isn't the biggest & doesn't have the fanciest interior setting, there is no doubt that it offers the most authentic & the best Chinese food in the Sacramento area. I have recommended many clients & friends to try out the restaurant, so far I haven't received any negative feedback yet. I am not doing this to return the favor of letting me to post my business cards at the restaurant. If you don't believe me, why not go give it a try yourself.

The restaurant is located at 5019 Freeport Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95822. Their phone number is 916-454-2828. They open 7 days a week from 11:00 am to 11:00pm.

I tried quite a few Chinese Restaurant since I moved to Elk Grove 6 months ago. I have to say New HK Wok is my first pick. Although it is not a fancy place, the food is good. If you like tasty Chinese foods, this restaurant should be on your list. HaiNam Chicken is something you don't want to miss. Salt and pepper tofu is my regular order as well.

I think I don't like about this restaurant is their service. Their waiters or waitress are not polite and we usually have to go to the counter or yell if we need help.

another good place will be New Canton and Macau Cafe.

I just went to Macau Cafe after trying New Hong Kong Wok and New Canton. They each cater to a different appetite. When I want roast duck and bok choy on rice, I would go to Hong Kong Wok since they do their own roasts (i.e. have a rotissere market on site). If I want rice congee/porridge, appetizers, and tapioca drinks to go along with that, I would to to Macau Cafe. If I want dim sum, I would go to New Canton. Macau Cafe's business card shows that all three restaurants are affiliated with one other along with two restaurants in Richmond, CA as well as one restaurant in Milbrae, CA. Does anyone know if they are all owned by the same owners?

Macau Cafe is a much cleaner/safer place to eat than New Hong Kong Wok and New Canton. New Canton had their license suspended due to major violatons. New Hong Kong Woks' reinspection didn't go so well...still have major violations to correct. Macau Cafe's reinspection passed with flying colors and is now in the green light. This shows that Macau Cafe cares about complying with regulalations/rules to prevent food poisoning. To check out all three restaurants' inspection reports, go to www.google.com and do a search on "restaurant name Sacramento EMD".
